Parent Input Sought For 2012-13 Bell Times
Posted: Thursday, March 22, 2012
Due to the addition of the intermediate building next year, our district needs to change to a three-tier busing structure to remain fiscally responsible. Keeping the current two-tier system would require us to purchase at least four more buses at an approximate cost of $75,000 per bus and an annual operating cost of $50,000 per bus (driver salary, benefits, fuel, and insurance). In addition to fiscal responsibility, another benefit of this structure is that it will allow for future growth.

For the past four years the morning of the first day of the school year at Big Walnut High school has been reserved for incoming freshmen and upperclass volunteer mentors as part of the high school’s Eagles First Flight program.
