Big Walnut Seeks Bids for Buses

Sealed bids will be received by the Big Walnut Board of Education for one (1) 71 passenger diesel type C conventional bus and one (1) diesel Handicap type C bus. All proposals must be presented by noon on June 6, 2012.

*Kindergarten times have been added.* The bell times have been set for the 2012/2013 school year. Big Walnut is excited to announce that we will be using a 3-tier bus system next year. As we move throughout the year, we will continue to collect data and analyze how to best meet the needs of our students and community.

When the new Big Walnut Middle School on Cheshire Road was on the drawing board it was intended to become a grade 7/8 facility, and the old Baughman Street middle school was going to serve students in grades 5 and 6.

PowerSchool for Parents and PowerSchool for Students

Two new apps are now available in the Apple iTunes® App Store: PowerSchool for Parents and PowerSchool for Students.

These new apps will allow parents and students to access all the same information they would normally access from a browser, but with the ease and convenience of an app installed on their Apple mobile device.

Facebook and Twitter integration, automatic login, a family overview, simplified "one-thumb" browsing, and other features make accessing PowerSchool on the go faster and easier than ever before.

The apps are FREE and available for download from the iTunes store. Version 1.0 of the apps will be supported on any Apple iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad running iOS version 4.0 or higher.

BW Excellent 6th Year Running

Delaware County seems to be the place to raise children in central Ohio. All four school districts in the county achieved an excellent rating or better on the Ohio Department of Education 2010-11 School Year Report Card.
